Kirsty Lewis is a newly established children’s author with a passion for all things fun and magical, with a few big dreams of fun and magic happening for herself!

Having always been a bit of a home bird, Kirsty has her own house, just a street away from where she was born and brought up in the South Wales Valleys. Kirsty is very proud of her heritage and of being Welsh.

Kirsty developed a deep love of books and words at a very young age and spent most of her childhood escaping into wonderful worlds and soon found out that she had a talent for writing! At the age of 15, she had a poem published in a local newspaper and then went onto study ‘Creative and Professional Writing’, earning herself a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree. More recently, in 2019, Kirsty was asked to write by an independent theatre company.



Having been a barmaid and a sales assistant, Kirsty now works at a local factory which produces satellite dishes and has settled into a routine but wants to follow her lifelong dream of writing exciting and magical adventures for children.

When not at work, or writing, Kirsty spends a lot of time with her grandmother, whom she is very close to, and she also enjoys the theatre, going to local shows and exploring London on solo travels.
