Gordon Ian MacLeod
Gordon Ian MacLeod is a Scottish author and playwright from the Isle of Arran, now based in Chester, England. His novels and plays explore themes of Scottish history, island life, social justice, humour and contemporary society, often drawing inspiration from the landscapes and communities of the west coast of Scotland.
Over a writing career spanning more than three decades, Gordon has published numerous novels, two collections of plays, and an audio drama. His work ranges from historical fiction and literary fiction to psychological thrillers and dystopian fiction, combining compelling storytelling with memorable characters and a strong sense of place. His plays have also been professionally produced for audio, introducing his work to audiences beyond the page.
