Writing began as a hobby and morphed into a passion for KE Jennings. She loves crafting stories and characters that make you think, as well as showcasing the gritty side of life. The more realness, the better. Her favorite genre to write are thrillers that have a heart pounding flair.

She spent half of her childhood in the deserts of West Texas and the other in the mountains of Washington state. Quite the landscape difference, she learned to appreciate aspects of both, to include developing a lifelong love of the sea. KE learned to surf in the frigid waters of the Pacific Ocean, where she often longboarded and thankfully, never once saw a shark.

She served in the United States Army as an active-duty NCO for eight years as a Chaplain Assistant, and was deployed for fifteen months to Iraq with a combat engineer battalion. While in the service, she lived in various locations to include Germany, Hawaii, and South Carolina. Her love of travel wasn’t limited to her service though. She has taken trips to Australia, Austria, Mexico, Jamacia, St. Lucia, Canada, and all over the continental United States. Her favorite being Australia, because where else can you see kangaroos running wild?

After the Army, she obtained various college degrees in the healthcare field to include a Master’s in Hospital Administration (MHA) and a Master’s in Health Systems Management (M-HSM), as well as spending time volunteering at hospitals. Her other volunteer experience includes community outreach with local schools and with homeless programs run through her church.

In addition to writing, she is a self-professed outdoor fanatic and loves to fish, though worms make her squeamish. She loves hiking as well, preferring longer hikes that start after daybreak so the spider webs are already cleared off the trail by someone else’s face. Avoiding bears and cougars the best she can, she likes the trails in the Cascade mountains as well as Mt. Rainier and surrounding areas. She also has a penchant for tacos and sunny weather, being Texas born.

You can find her at home with her family, out on a run, or cruising on her skateboard on a beachside trail. At the moment, she is working on various writing projects to include a romantic comedy series, and is stoked to be joining the Provoco Publishing family. Her debut first ever published novel, a psychological thriller, is set to be released in 2024.
