A.H. Martin

Andy H Martin has been writing short stories for the past eight years and has recently finished his first novel.

He was born in the south of England. His love of travel began at the tender age of six when his father took up a post as chief engineer at an industrial diamond mine Ghana. As a teenager he spent several summers traveling across Europe.

Andy trained as a Radiographer at St George’s Hospital, London, qualifying in 1977. He worked in various hospitals in England and the Middle East for the following 22 years. His last clinical position was as Head Radiographer at a major international Cardiovascular hospital in Saudi Arabia.

His roles included designing and developing new interventional Cardiovascular imaging systems for Philips and devising the training procedures for hospital staff and application specialists. He traveled extensively, supporting the introduction of these new systems into the different regions of the world. Training clinicians, staff and the local application specialists, and troubleshooting IQ issues. Andy and his family then moved to the Netherlands in 1999 where he spend the next 20 years working for Philips Healthcare as a senior clinical application specialist. In 2019, he retired after 40 years involved in differing aspects of medical X-Ray imaging.

Andy now enjoys his retirement on a 64ft replica Dutch Barge cruising the canals and rivers of western Europe and indulging his love of writing.

A.H. Martin’s debut novel, Living Proof, the first in a trilogy of crime thrillers, is now available on Amazon and will soon be in all good bookshops.
